The buildings in this category can be divided into several groups:

1. Storage with temperature controlled (air composition of storage cell does not change during storage)
- cold storage with temperatures below -24 ˚C (for meat products in general)
- Refrigeration warehouses, 2˚C .. 4 ˚C (vegetables, fruits, etc.)

2. Storage with temperature and atmosphere controlled (air composition of storage cell changes during storage)
- deposits of vegetables and bulbs (tomatoes, potatoes, onions, cabbage, etc.)
- deposits of fruit: apples, grapes, bananas, etc.
